Fewer crashes, more reliable syncing in 1.1.1
First, we fixed the cases that could stop the app
On Android, sending large files could push memory use high enough to stall or terminate the app. We reduced that memory pressure and protected receive sessions so late downloads cannot leak into an older receive flow.
We also verified a real 13MB ZIP transfer from Android to Mac with matching file hashes. On Mac, the review prompt no longer blocks the sync loop, so long-running sessions are less likely to be interrupted.
Receiving recovers more reliably with the screen off
We reworked Android background behavior. Instead of relying on a persistent wake lock, Clipdoggy wakes when needed through server push, keeping receive reliability while reducing battery overhead.
Recovery after removing the app from Recents has also been strengthened. Samsung devices now get clearer guidance about sleeping-app settings that can interrupt receiving.
Share only with the devices you need
You do not always want every connected device to receive every clip. In 1.1.1, you can pause sharing to a specific device by switching it off in the device list, then turn it back on whenever you need it again.
We also added clearer cues when a device is paused, so it is easier to understand which devices are currently part of your sharing flow.
Longer text and larger images
The text transfer limit is now 600KB and the image limit is 5MB. Longer notes, code, and larger images can move between devices with fewer workarounds.
If an image is above the limit, Clipdoggy automatically resizes it to a sendable size. You no longer need to shrink it manually or route it through another app first.
Easier sign-in and quicker access on Mac
Sign in with Apple is now available on Android alongside Google. This makes it possible to use the same Apple account across Android and Mac when connecting your devices.
On Mac, the Dock icon is visible by default and opens the Clipdoggy panel when clicked. We also removed overlapping receive notifications while the app is visible. Version 1.1.1 is primarily about making everyday syncing stay up and running.
Version 1.1.1 is rolling out gradually now, so availability may vary by store and account. It remains compatible with 1.1.0 and does not require a forced update.
